Privacy Notice

HireVYA is a job marketplace for job discovery, candidate profiles, applications, employer hiring workflows and authorized AI-assistant connections. This notice explains the categories of personal data HireVYA may process and the controls available to users.

Data we may process

For candidates this can include account identifiers, name, profile information, employment and education history, skills, preferences, resume files and extracted resume data, saved jobs, job alerts and application history. For employers and recruiters it can include account, organization, verification, team, job-posting and applicant-management information. Technical security, audit and service logs may also be processed.

Why we use data

We use data to provide and secure accounts, operate job search and application features, store user-selected preferences, support employer recruiting workflows, prevent abuse, maintain auditability, communicate service information and improve HireVYA. Optional marketing and recruiter-visibility features are controlled separately where available.

AI assistants and connected apps

HireVYA can expose scoped API/MCP capabilities to a connected assistant such as ChatGPT. A connected app receives only the permissions the user approves. Read and write permissions are separated by scope. Sensitive write actions remain bound to the signed-in HireVYA account, and application submission requires appropriate authorization and user consent. Users can disconnect access; account deletion revokes active HireVYA OAuth tokens.

Resumes and visibility

Candidate resumes are private by default unless the candidate changes visibility settings. HireVYA stores the uploaded resume separately from any AI-assisted rewritten draft. Visibility of a profile, resume and contact details can be controlled independently.

Job applications

For an external employer or ATS destination, HireVYA may record that the candidate started an application and then redirect them to the official destination. A redirect is not treated as proof of a completed application. For HireVYA Direct Apply, the application is stored only after the candidate submits it.

Data sharing

Data may be disclosed to service providers needed to operate HireVYA and, when the user applies or enables recruiter visibility, to relevant employers/recruiters or authorized ATS partners according to the feature being used. HireVYA does not treat public availability of a resume or job listing as unlimited permission for unrelated use.

Retention and deletion

Retention depends on the purpose, account state, security/audit requirements and applicable obligations. Candidates can download a machine-readable copy of their HireVYA candidate data and can permanently delete their candidate account through Privacy & Security settings. Deletion removes the HireVYA sign-in and candidate data that is linked by account-cascade rules and removes the stored candidate resume used by the current product.

Security

HireVYA uses access controls, scoped authorization, private resume storage, service-role isolation for privileged operations and audit/recovery controls. No internet service can promise absolute security.

Your choices

Controls include recruiter visibility, resume visibility, contact visibility, job-alert email, optional marketing email and optional WhatsApp application updates when that channel is enabled. Some transactional account/security communications may be necessary to operate the service.

India data-protection framework

HireVYA is being designed with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025 in mind. Specific statutory rights, notices and grievance/contact details will be implemented according to the requirements applicable to the service at the time of production launch.

Contact and operator details

The final legal operator identity, grievance/contact address and privacy contact must be published before full public production launch. They are not invented here because those details are not yet recorded in HireVYA’s approved project source of truth.
