Job Summary

The Transport Executive is responsible for managing daily transportation operations, ensuring efficient movement of employees/goods, optimizing routes, and maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The role involves coordination with vendors, drivers, and internal teams to ensure smooth logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Transportation Operations

  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor daily transport schedules.
  • Ensure timely and safe transportation of employees or materials.
  • Optimize vehicle utilization and route planning to minimize costs.

2. Vendor & Fleet Management

  • Manage transport vendors and service providers.
  • Monitor vehicle availability, maintenance, and performance.
  • Ensure all vehicles meet safety, compliance, and quality standards.

3. Driver Management

  • Coordinate driver deployment and shift planning.
  • Ensure drivers follow safety protocols and company guidelines.
  • Maintain records of driver attendance, licenses, and certifications.

4. Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, transport regulations, and company policies.
  • Conduct safety audits and implement corrective actions.
  • Investigate incidents/accidents and submit reports.

5. Cost Control & Reporting

  • Track and control transportation costs (fuel, maintenance, vendor bills).
  • Validate invoices and manage budgets.
  • Prepare MIS reports on operations, utilization, and expenses.

6. Stakeholder Coordination

  • Liaise with internal departments (HR, Admin, Operations).
  • Address transport-related queries, complaints, and escalations.
  • Ensure high service quality and user satisfaction.

7. Technology & Systems

  • Use transport management systems (TMS) or tracking tools.
  • Monitor GPS tracking and ensure efficiency improvements.
