Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Trainee Linux Admin with 0-6 months of experience to join our IT team. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals passionate about Linux administration and eager to develop their skills in managing Linux systems. The role involves setting up and configuring Linux servers, troubleshooting issues and supporting various network and software tasks.

Responsibilities

Linux System Troubleshooting: Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to Linux servers and workstations. Operating System Installation & Troubleshooting: Work on the installation, configuration and troubleshooting of Linux operating systems. User Account Management: Assist in creating, managing and troubleshooting user accounts and permissions on Linux systems. Software Installation: Install, configure and maintain software applications on Linux servers. End-User Support: Provide support to end-users for Linux-based systems, ensuring smooth operation and resolving any hardware or network issues. System Security: Assist in the installation and configuration of security measures, including antivirus software and firewalls on Linux systems. System Updates & Patching: Help with the installation of updates, patches and reinstallation of Linux applications as required.

Requirements

Education: Course in Linux administration or a related field. Experience: 0-6 months of experience or coursework related to Linux administration.
