Position Summary

We are looking for an experienced Strategic Procurement professional with 10–12 years of experience in commodity sourcing, supplier management, cost optimization, and value engineering. The candidate should possess strong expertise in Copper Machined & Forged Components, Plastic Commodities, Zero-Based Costing (ZBC), MIS Reporting, Supplier Negotiations, and Strategic Sourcing.
The role will be responsible for developing sourcing strategies, driving procurement savings, supplier consolidation, cost transparency, and supporting business growth through effective procurement practices.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Sourcing & Procurement
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for assigned commodities.
  • Drive competitive sourcing through RFQ, RFI, and e-auction activities.
  • Identify and develop new suppliers to enhance competitiveness and reduce risk.
  • Conduct supplier capability assessments and sourcing evaluations.
  • Develop supplier consolidation and vendor rationalization strategies.
Commodity Management

Copper Parts (Machining & Forging)

Strong understanding of: 
  • Copper machining processes
  • Hot & cold forging
  • CNC turning and milling
  • Surface treatment and plating processes
  • Perform technical-commercial evaluations of suppliers.
  • Evaluate material utilization, scrap generation, productivity, and cost drivers.
Plastic Commodity
  • Experience in: 
  • Injection molding
  • Insert molding
  • Engineering plastics
  • Mold costing
  • Cycle time analysis
  • Drive material and process cost optimization.
Cost Management & Zero-Based Costing
  • Lead Zero-Based Costing (ZBC) initiatives across commodities.
  • Conduct should-cost analysis and price breakdown reviews.
Analyze: 
  • Raw material costs
  • Conversion costs
  • Tooling costs
  • Packaging
  • Logistics
• Support annual productivity and cost reduction targets.
• Identify Value Engineering (VE) opportunities.

Supplier Negotiation & Contract Management

• Lead commercial negotiations with suppliers.
• Prepare negotiation strategies using cost models and market intelligence.
• Execute long-term agreements and rate contracts.
• Manage supplier performance and business reviews.

MIS & Analytics

Develop and maintain procurement MIS dashboards.
