Job Title

Quality Engineer (Civil)

Job Description Summary

To ensure all civil construction activities are executed in compliance with project specifications, approved drawings, quality standards, client requirements, and statutory regulations through effective quality control and assurance practices.

Job Description

About the Role:

  • Monitor and inspect civil construction activities to ensure adherence to approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and quality standards.

  • Conduct material inspections and ensure compliance with approved technical specifications.

  • Prepare, review, and maintain QA/QC documentation including ITPs, checklists, NCRs, MIRs, WIRs, and quality records.

  • Coordinate with site engineers, consultants, contractors, and clients for quality-related inspections and approvals.

  • Perform concrete, steel, finishing, waterproofing, and structural quality checks at various stages of construction.

  • Identify quality non-conformances, recommend corrective actions, and monitor closure of observations.

  • Ensure all testing activities are conducted as per project requirements and applicable standards.

  • Review laboratory test reports and maintain quality control records.

  • Participate in internal and external quality audits.

  • Support project teams in implementing quality management systems and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental requirements during inspection activities.

About You:

  • Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering.

  • 8-10 years of experience in QA/QC for residential, commercial, industrial, infrastructure, or high-rise projects.

  • Strong knowledge of civil construction standards, quality procedures, IS codes, and testing protocols.

  • Experience in handling client and consultant inspections.

  • Familiarity with quality documentation and reporting.

  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
