Junior Ruby on Rails Developers work on coding, testing, and maintaining web applications using Ruby on Rails. Junior Ruby on Rails Developers role focuses on gaining hands-on experience while contributing to ongoing projects and improving their technical skills.
Overview
As a Junior ROR Developer, you will be an integral part of our development team, working closely with senior developers to design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable and reliable Ruby code. You will be involved in all aspects of the software development lifecycle including front-end and back-end development, database management and testing.
Responsibilities
Write clean, maintainable and efficient code using Ruby on Rails. Work closely with senior developers, designers and product managers to develop and maintain web applications. Participate in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback to improve overall code quality. Write and maintain tests to ensure the reliability and performance of applications. Identify and fix bugs and performance issues in existing applications. Work with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) to manage data storage, retrieval and updates. Assist in the creation and maintenance of technical documentation. Continuously learn and apply new technologies, frameworks and methodologies relevant to Ruby on Rails development. Provide support to the team in various phases of the project including deployment, maintenance and monitoring.
Requirements
1 to 3 years of experience in Ruby on Rails development. Proficiency in Ruby and familiarity with front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS3. Experience working with Ruby on Rails and an understanding of its best practices and conventions. Familiarity with database systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL or SQLite. Experience using version control systems like Git. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.

BE/ME/B.Tech/M.Tech (CS/IT)/MCA or equivalent
