Junior Network Engineer

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Junior Network Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. This position is ideal for individuals with 6 months to 2 years of experience in network engineering who are eager to further develop their skills and contribute to network infrastructure projects. As a Junior Network Engineer, you will work closely with senior engineers, gaining hands-on experience in network setup, maintenance and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network hardware and software. Support senior network engineers in daily network operations including monitoring network performance and diagnosing issues. Configure routers, switches, firewalls and other network devices. Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and assist in implementing solutions. Maintain and update documentation of network configurations, changes and upgrades. Collaborate with other IT team members to support overall IT operations and projects. Stay updated on the latest networking technologies and best practices and apply them to ongoing projects.

Requirements

6 months to 2 years of experience in network engineering or a related field. Strong understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP). Hands-on experience with network devices such as routers, switches and firewalls. Proven problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment. Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies. Good communication skills, both written and verbal. Experience with network security principles and best practices. Certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+ or equivalent. Experience in network performance monitoring tools and techniques.
