A Snapshot of Your Day 

The Gas Turbine System Engineer will Support Gas Turbine Mods and upgrades R&D projects with a focus on auxiliaries and I&C development.

The incumbent will join the Gas Turbine R&D, Gurgaon as Gas Turbine Systems Engineer.
This position provides an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, global product development & service environment.


How You'll Make an Impact (Gas Turbine, R& D,India)

Sub-Project Management as IPT Lead for Auxiliary system and I&C development
Support Gas Turbine Mods and upgrades R&D projects with a focus on auxiliaries and I&C development
Creation of technical offers for gas turbine modernizations and upgrades with focus on Auxiliary systems, Instrumentation and Control
Analysis of technical risks related to upgrade products
Communication within the engineering to define required scope on site-specific basis within defined boundary conditions
Evaluation and assessment of data from test and field engines for future development of gas turbine instrumentation and to derive appropriate upgrade products for GT              engine.
In depth system design development incl. flow path simulation of auxiliary systems
Collaboration with engineering of core engine for optimal integration of instrumentation in system
Creation of upgrade documentation in PCM-System (Bsols) and Material Masters in SAP
Support of COE projects for first time applications with technical product documentation
Lead and facilitate fast resolution of technical issues of upgraded engines.  This includes evaluation of a root cause, solution development and implementation followed by           verification/validation.
Response to special customer requests, customer order engineering.


What You Bring

Masters or Bachelor in Mechanical, Electrical or Instrumentation and control engineering 
5+ years of experience in gas turbine, aerospace or equivalent field (engineering or operation)
Excellent working knowledge of the design and operation of gas turbines incl. thermodynamic understanding with Experience in power plant commissioning, testing of                 turbomachinery.
Experience in following tools: NX, COMOS, SAP, AFT Arrow and Teamcenter is desirable
Ability to establish relationships to build networks in an international team setup in multiple time zones with strong soft personal skills i.e. team player, quick learner, ability          to adapt quickly & effectively 
Very good verbal and written communication skills.
