Finance & Accounting Process Manager

About the role

You will run a finance operation on behalf of an enterprise client — invoice processing, reconciliation and month-end close, executed as governed workflows. These are processes where a wrong entry has a downstream cost, and the quality standard sits at 99.97%.

What you will do

• Own delivery for a finance and accounting process: accuracy, turnaround and the client SLA.
• Run accounts payable and receivable work end to end — validation, matching, reconciliation and posting for payment.
• Hold the control environment: maker-checker, exception handling, audit trail and escalation paths.
• Lead and develop a process team, including reviewers and new joiners.
• Report on performance to the client and act on the causes behind an exception trend, not only the exceptions.

What you will bring

• Experience running an accounts payable, accounts receivable or record-to-report process, including time managing a team.
• A working grasp of accounting fundamentals and of what a control actually protects against.
• Experience in a BPM, shared-services or outsourced-delivery environment working to a client SLA.
• A degree in commerce, accounting, finance or a related field; a professional qualification such as CA Inter, CMA, MBA (Finance) or equivalent is welcome but not required.
• Helpful, not required: exposure to intelligent document processing or finance automation.

Working arrangements

Full time, on site at the delivery centre listed above. Standard working hours, with shift cover arranged within the team where a client programme runs to a different timezone.
