Engineering Manager

This role involves leading and managing engineering teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. Responsibilities

• Lead engineering teams effectively, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture to achieve project goals.
• Oversee timelines, team allocation, risk management, and task prioritization for successful solution delivery.
• Mentor and support team members' professional growth, conducting performance reviews and providing actionable feedback.
• Evaluate and enhance engineering processes, tools, and methodologies to increase efficiency and optimize team productivity.
• Collaborate with business partners, product managers, and designers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Enforce technology standards, facilitate peer reviews, and implement robust testing practices to ensure high-quality solutions.
• Contribute to or set strategy, drive requirements, and make recommendations for change, planning resources and budgets.
• Manage and mitigate risks through assessment, supporting the control and governance agenda.
• Demonstrate leadership and accountability for managing risk and strengthening controls within your team's work.

Requirements

• 14–25 years of experience, with proven experience leading high-performing engineering teams within a complex, enterprise environment.
• Strong hands-on technical background in at least one core technology stack (e.g., Java, Spring Boot, REST/Microservices, React).
• Solid fundamentals in testing practices, including JUnit, mutation testing, component testing, and integration testing.
• Strong understanding and practical experience with Agile/SAFe Agile delivery models.
• Experience with modern engineering practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, DevOps, and continuous improvement.
• Excellent planning, prioritization, and decision-making skills, with the ability to balance delivery, quality, and technical debt.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor, develop, and retain engineering talent, fostering a culture of continuous learning and accountability.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to lead teams through ambiguity and change.
