SCADA Engineer – Ignition Platform

Location: Pune / Mumbai

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled SCADA Engineer – Ignition Platform with hands-on experience in designing, developing, and supporting industrial automation and SCADA solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in the Ignition platform.

Required Skills

  • Skilled in Ignition SCADA development, including Perspective, Vision, tag structures, UDTs, scripting, and PLC integrations.
  • Familiar with OPC UA, MQTT, Kepware, and standard industrial communication protocols.
  • Strong in backend scripting, API integration, and working within predefined architectures and SDLC processes.
  • Exposure to modern SCADA UI/UX practices and ability to build clean, structured interfaces.
  • Solid SQL (PostgreSQL) skills with understanding of schemas, data relationships, and operational/historian data.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• 4–6 years of overall experience with at least 3+ years of hands-on experience in Ignition SCADA development.
• Strong expertise in Ignition Perspective, Vision, scripting, tag management, UDTs, alarms, and historian configuration.
• Experience integrating PLCs and field devices through OPC UA, MQTT, Kepware, and industrial communication protocols.
• Good knowledge of Python/Jython scripting, REST APIs, and backend integration techniques.
• Strong understanding of software engineering best practices, SDLC methodologies, and code quality standards.
