AWS Engineer

Role description

AWS Cloud Engineer designs, deploys, and manages cloud infrastructure using Amazon Web Services. They configure servers, optimize performance, and ensure security. By handling cloud-based solutions, they support scalable and reliable operations, helping the organization leverage AWS for efficiency and growth.

Overview

We are seeking a motivated AWS Engineer with 6 months to 2 years of experience to join our team. This position is ideal for individuals with foundational experience in AWS who are looking to further develop their skills in cloud computing. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with AWS services and a strong understanding of cloud infrastructure. You will collaborate with senior engineers to deploy, manage and optimize AWS environments while ensuring security and compliance.

Responsibilities

Deploy and configure AWS resources including EC2 instances, S3 buckets and RDS databases. Monitor and maintain AWS infrastructure to ensure high performance, availability and scalability. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to AWS services and applications. Automate infrastructure tasks using AWS tools such as CloudFormation, Lambda and IAM. Write and maintain scripts in languages like Python or Bash to streamline operations and improve efficiency. Implement security best practices, including identity and access management, data encryption and network security. Ensure compliance with organizational policies and industry standards within the AWS environment. Analyze and optimize AWS infrastructure for cost efficiency, performance and scalability. Work on improving the reliability and efficiency of cloud-based systems and applications. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for AWS infrastructure, configurations and operational procedures. Generate and analyze reports on system performance, cost management and security audits. Collaborate with senior AWS engineers, IT teams, and stakeholders to understand business requirements and design cloud solutions. Provide support to internal teams and users for AWS-related inquiries and issues.

Requirements

6 months to 2 years of experience in AWS or cloud computing. Hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS and VPC. Proficiency in AWS services and tools, including CloudFormation, IAM and Lambda. Strong understanding of networking concepts, Linux/Windows server administration and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash). Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
