Job description

Title:

Associate Accountant

The Associate Accountant is responsible for the accurate creation, maintenance, and governance of vendor, 
customer, and financial master data within ERP systems. This role ensures that all new setup and change 
requests are processed in a timely manner while adhering to company policies, data governance standards, and 
internal controls. The position works closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to validate data, 
resolve discrepancies, support audit requirements, and drive data quality initiatives. The ideal candidate 
possesses strong analytical skills, attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a solid understanding of 
master data management processes and ERP systems. 
Responsibilities:   
• Coordinate the creation, modification, and maintenance of vendor, customer, and financial master data 
records, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established governance standards. 
• Perform data validation, analysis, and reconciliation activities to identify and resolve master data 
discrepancies, supporting data quality and business process efficiency. 
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Procurement, Finance, Accounts Payable, Accounts 
Receivable, Compliance, and business stakeholders, to process master data requests and ensure 
adherence to internal controls and policies. 
• Support master data governance initiatives by monitoring data quality metrics, conducting audits, and 
recommending process improvements to enhance data integrity. 
• Maintain documentation for master data process, approvals, and changes to support audit and 
compliance requirements. Assist with ERP system enhancements, testing, and implementation activities 
• Ensure timely processing of new setup and change requests while meeting agreed service level 
agreements (SLAs) and stakeholder expectations. 
Qualifications including Required Education, Experience, & Skills: 
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. 
• 1–3 years of experience in Global Master Data or a similar finance/accounting role. 
• Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, MSD etc.,). 
• Advanced level of proficiency with MS office applications: Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, 
and Word
