About the role:

As an Assistant Manager Quality, role is responsible for building the quality systems in accordance with GRMS guidelines, managing the indirect reports of the site for adhering necessary protocols of sampling, analysis, GMP, Food Safety, in-process analysis and finished product analysis.

The role will need to operate within our SOA and be responsible for analysis and approval of Incoming and Outgoing products of site.

Recommendations Expected

Defining the roadmap for progress of quality culture at site.

Enhancing food safety standards across the site operations.

Building the sitewide quality protocols.

Financial Accountability (Budget/Revenue)

Preparing annual quality budget for upkeeping, updating and maintaining the quality function assets for inspection, analysis and calibration.

Leadership Responsibilities

  • Inculcate with all necessary Dial Up Behaviours of Diageo.
  • Strong advocacy for Diageo values and purpose.
  • Grooming the team and enhance food safety and quality culture of the site.
  • Internal Stakeholders – Cross functional team of Procurement, Production, Engineering and Dispatch.
  • External Stakeholders – Central audit team, governance team, Regional and Central Quality team, R&D and Global governance team ; FSSAI and LMR Authorities.

Top 3-5 Accountabilities

Area (time spent: total = 100%)

Analysis and Reporting of Compliance

Sampling, Analysis & reporting of results in Diageo format and SAP ; Leading GRMS, EY, FSSAI and LMR Compliance.

Daily Operational Review

Bringing up the concerns of quality from floor and escalating to Site head as and when required for its timely closure.

Audit

Auditing the quality standards compliance levels and drafting action plans.

Training

Defining quality training need analysis and delivering training for team.

Partnership and sustainability

Working with Global Quality, Central Quality and R&D team for creating new systems, change management and Pilot trials and Sustainability.

Experience / skills required:

Post Graduation in Food Science / Chemistry/Microbiology/Alcohol Technology is desirable.

MBA in Quality Management is optional.

  • Minimum 5 Yrs quality functional experience.
  • Six sigma and lean certifications.
  • Certified Internal Auditor for Quality for ISO, FSSC and FSSAI.
  • Auditing skills
  • Around 100 hrs of training given
  • Strong communication skills in English (written & verbal)
  • Problem solving skills
