Job Description:
Responsibilities
Prepare tax returns and supporting workpapers for a variety of entities and filing types, with a focus on Individual Taxation including Forms 1040, 1041, 990, and 5500.
Support business entity tax compliance activities across multiple engagements.
Utilize tax software and tools such as CCH Axcess and SurePrep to support efficient and accurate tax preparation processes.
Conduct tax research and assist with tax-related projects and compliance activities.
Respond to inquiries from the IRS and other taxing authorities with guidance from engagement teams as needed.
Prepare tax extensions, quarterly estimates, and related supporting documentation.
Maintain accurate and organized client records and engagement documentation.
Collaborate with team members to support timely, accurate, and high-quality client deliverables.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to implementation initiatives.
Support additional tax projects and assignments as requested.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or related field required.
CPA (US) or CA (ICAI) preferred. Candidates not currently certified should meet eligibility requirements to pursue certification upon hire.
Minimum 2 year of experience in U.S. Taxation required.
Previous experience within a public accounting or professional services environment preferred.
Experience preparing individual and business tax returns preferred.
Familiarity with CCH Axcess, SurePrep, or similar tax preparation tools preferred.
Strong client service orientation with the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines effectively.
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work effectively both independently and within collaborative team environments.
Self-motivated with a proactive approach to learning and professional growth.
Flexibility to support overtime and travel requirements as needed.
