SAP Data Archival ILM
Data Archiving Architect : Minimum 12 to 15 years of experience
Job description : Responsible for leading end to end application data archiving initiatives, working closing with the clients and internal stake holders to define, design, and document archiving requirements across multiple applications. This role serves as the primary functional and technical authority on data archiving Lifecyle practices, ensuring compliance with data retention policies, security standards, and end user access needs.
SME will lead structured client workshops to capture archiving requirements, translating business, legal and technical needs into clear, actionable documentation to support archiving.
Key responsibilities :
Lead and facilitate client workshops to elicit and document detailed application archiving requirements across business, legal and IT stakeholders.
Access application landscapes to determine appropriate archiving approaches
Serve as the primary point of contact for archiving related discussions , decisions, and clarifications throughout the engagement lifecycle
Data Archiving Lifecycle expertise :
Define and document the full data archiving lifecycle u=including:
Data identification and eligibility
Retention and deletion policies
Archiving execution and validation
Ensure alignment with regulatory, compliance and audit requirements including long term data retention and retrievability
Identify the archiving objects based on Top-Size tables
Customized the application settings, Object Specific & Basis Customization for the archiving objects
Creation of Design and Build documents and user guides
Produce high quality client facing documentation including:
Archiving requirements specifications
Data retention and access models
Application archiving assessments and recommendations
Ensure documentation is clear, complete, and suitable for technical implementation teams and client review
Senior Archiving consultant : Minimum of 8 years of SAP Archiving implementation experience :
Strong knowledge in SAP Classical archiving solution and SAP ILM solution for SAP ECC system
Understand business processes and map or identify the archiving objects, ILM policies, and retention times
Scheduling archiving jobs and monitoring job logs, prepare archiving statistics
Experience in implementation of attachments archiving
End to end exposure of implementation experience in archiving project, good communication and interpersonal skills
Strong knowledge in different archive server and archive link
Strong knowledge in different retrieval methods

| Triaging and resolution of tickets | Establish incident monitoring protocols and provide technical guidance to enable permanent fixes for recurring issues. |
| SLA Monitoring | Review SLA performance across the team, represent the function in meetings, and ensure consistent delivery quality. |

| Performance tuning and optimization | Collaborate with technical teams in managing production support activities regarding incident resolution, efficient deployments, and implementation of changes. |
| Perform system Improvements | Collaborate with technical teams to review mitigation measures and proposed improvement actions. |
| Handling disaster recovery | Develop disaster recovery and data backup plans to ensure system resilience and quick restoration in case of disruptions. |

| Reporting and stakeholder engagement | Participate in Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), manage client expectations, and ensure alignment with business objectives. |
| Team Management | Supervise team members by overseeing daily operations, conducting performance appraisals, and providing feedback. |
| Knowledge base and continuous learning | Update and maintain documentation for complex issues, share best practices within the team, and support ongoing knowledge enhancement to improve service efficiency. |
