Executive-Production

Job Description

Carry out production activities safely and as per company quality, safety, and manufacturing procedures to achieve the daily production plan. Ensure products are manufactured according to GMP standards while maintaining productivity, quality, and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure raw materials are available for daily production as per the production plan.
  • Operate, clean, and maintain production and utility equipment as assigned.
  • Follow GMP, Good Documentation Practices (GDP), and Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) requirements.
  • Monitor and maintain process parameters as per the Batch Manufacturing Record (BMR).
  • Execute the production plan and achieve daily production targets.
  • Use manpower, equipment, utilities, raw materials, and power efficiently.
  • Issue and control intermediates during production.
  • Maintain cleanliness and good housekeeping in the production area.
  • Complete production and cleaning records accurately and on time.
  • Identify and resolve basic equipment and process issues and report major problems when required.
  • Raise work orders and obtain safety permits as per company procedures.
  • Suggest and support process improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in activities to improve yield, reduce process time, and increase productivity.
  • Keep the production area audit-ready at all times.
  • Follow all safety practices to protect employees, equipment, and the workplace.
  • Coordinate with Quality, Engineering, Warehouse, Maintenance, and other support teams for smooth production.
  • Attend training programs and apply the learning in day-to-day work.
  • Report near misses, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions immediately.
  • Handle hazardous chemicals and production operations safely by following approved procedures.
  • Ensure proper shift handover by communicating all production updates clearly.
  • Collect and submit in-process samples to QC/ARD and follow up on test results.
  • Perform any other production-related activities assigned by the reporting manager.

Qualifications

  • Diploma / B.Sc. / B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry.
  • 4 –6 years of experience in a pharmaceutical, API manufacturing industry.
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Documentation Practices (GDP), and EHS requirements.
  • Willingness to work in shifts.
