Schwab India Description

Our Hyderabad location is central to Schwab’s growth, bringing together talented people and technology to drive innovation, scale and efficiency. Here, you will work alongside teams who create solutions that support millions of clients every day. The work you do is more than daily operations - it’s a chance to experiment, learn, and build within a values-driven, supportive environment. This is a unique opportunity to be part of our early growth phase and shape something new, backed by the stability and strength of a Fortune 500 company. Your impact begins on day one, and your contributions will help define our future in the region.

Role Description

We’re seeking a Senior QA Engineer to lead program-level end-to-end (E2E) test planning and execution across complex, distributed systems. You will execute the QA strategy and own delivery for high-impact test initiatives, establish and scale test automation, and drive readiness of non-production environments and test data so teams can release confidently and on time. This role combines hands-on engineering with monitoring peers and partnering with product, engineering, and operations to embed quality throughout the SDLC.

What you have

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and govern the E2E testing approach for the program, including scope, entry/exit criteria, risk-based test design, cross-domain orchestration, status reporting, and issue remediation.
  • Lead multi-application and partner integrations; coordinate upstream/downstream dependencies, cross-team scenarios, and release-level sign-offs.
  • Ensure functional testing sign-offs precede E2E execution; manage defects and drive closure.
  • Execute QA strategy and own delivery for complex, high-impact initiatives across Agile/SAFe SDLC teams.
  • Standardize E2E test management stages and align program boards and story linkage for data, environment, and test work items.
  • Establish and scale maintainable regression, smoke, and feature automation integrated into sprint workflows.
  • Mentor SDETs and QA engineers on framework patterns, test design, tooling, testability, and shift-left practices.
  • Own readiness of non-production environments and test data for E2E scenarios.
  • Partner with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, engineering leads, and operations to align plans, schedules, metrics, risks, and decisions.
  • Support onboarding and continuous skill development aligned to Agile/SAFe technical agility competencies.

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years in Software QA Engineering.
  • 3+ years leading E2E testing across products and partners.
  • Experience executing program-level QA roadmaps and strategies across prioritized value streams in Agile/SAFe contexts.
  • Proven collaboration with business and technology partners and clear communication of risks, trade-offs, and sign-offs.
  • Strong skills in risk-based testing, root-cause analysis, test design, and quality review cycles.
  • Ability to see E2E workflows across tiers, domains, and external partners and anticipate failure modes.
  • Experience applying automation pyramids, clean code practices, CI/CD, and testability improvements.
  • Experience participating in PI/Sprint ceremonies, aligning E2E scope to MVP/value objectives, and tracking outcomes through program boards.
  • Ability to maintain daily execution and triage rhythms, report through dashboards, and drive RCA and corrective actions into backlogs.
  • Collaboration with RTEs, POs/SMs, architects, and operations to align dependencies and promote built-in quality.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues using best practices for live applications.
  • Prioritizing compliance, security, and scalability of data systems.
  • Service restoration strategies and QA best practices in testing and compliance.
  • Requirements validation, security policy monitoring, and software design problem resolution.
  • Experience building, testing, validating, and releasing secure software components.
  • Experience with Gherkin language and tools such as Cucumber, JBehave, or SpecFlow.
  • Understanding of CI/CD practices and Lean DevOps methodologies.
  • Financial or trading services industry experience.
